GREY BLENDING TAKES A MINUTE 😮‍💨🤍 Especially when you have super long, thick hair AND years of previous box dye! This beautiful client came back for her refresh, and her goal is a little tricky — she LOVES being dark, but she also wants to embrace her natural grey. 🖤🤍 Her natural grow-out is completely different throughout her head. She’s darker around the front, salt & pepper throughout, and VERY white at the crown. Now that we had more regrowth to work with, I could finally see exactly where the darkness naturally needed to live. So instead of making her lighter and lighter, we strategically added richness and depth while keeping that beautiful grey on top. That’s the thing about grey blending… LIGHTER ISN’T ALWAYS BETTER. 👏🏼 Sometimes the perfect blend needs DARKNESS too. Grey blending is a PROCESS — especially with box dye, color correction, different percentages of grey, and a client who wants to stay dark without covering her natural grey. We’re slowly creating that beautiful, dimensional salt & pepper look while keeping her hair healthy and working WITH her natural grow-out instead of against it.
