Growing up in a place known for specific beauty standards teaches you a lot about where you fit—or where you don't. For a long time, I let small comments and unspoken rules define my worth. At 34, I finally asked myself the one question I avoided for years. In this video, I reflect on regional beauty culture, teenage validation, and the realization that changed how I see myself. Growing up, I became very aware that there was a certain image of what a beautiful woman was supposed to look like — and I didn't feel like I fit it. For years, I thought that meant there was something I needed to fix about myself. I wanted to be prettier, more desirable, and more accepted. I wanted people who didn't see me as beautiful to change their minds. But now, at 34, I'm looking at that differently. In this video, I talk about growing up with beauty standards, comparing yourself to other women, seeking validation, and what happens when you spend years trying to become someone's idea of beautiful. If you've ever felt like you weren't the "pretty girl," struggled with comparison, or wondered whether you're attractive enough, I hope this conversation gives you something to think about. #BeautyStandards #SelfWorth #Beauty #FemaleSelfWorth #Confidence Music: New Beginnings by Tokyo Music Walker   / user-356546060   License: Creative Commons — Attribution 3.0 Unported — CC BY 3.0 Free Download / Stream: https://www.audiolibrary.com.co/tokyo...
