Day 3, Part 2: Caleb Flynn, a former American Idol Season 12 contestant and former worship pastor from Tipp City, Ohio, is on trial for the murder of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Case background: On February 16th, 2026, Flynn called 911 and said an intruder had broken into their home and shot Ashley. Officers found the 37-year-old teacher and middle-school volleyball coach dead from two gunshot wounds to the head. The couple’s two young daughters were in the house. Prosecutors allege Flynn killed Ashley and staged the scene to look like a home invasion. He was arrested days later. He has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, tampering with evidence, and intimidation of a witness. Jury selection began September 17th, 2026, in Miami County Common Pleas Court. The trial is expected to last about two weeks. Ashley Flynn was 37. She taught and coached at Tippecanoe Middle School.
