The priestess heard them on the way, a card was trembling, close and low, she saw the light in every eye, a blinded faith that cannot see. She saw herself so long ago, the one who jumped and did not know. 🌙Meaning & Story🌙 The Boy Who Could Not Die. His name is Kai, and he believes he is immortal, because nothing has ever managed to kill him. A landslide buried his whole village while he was outside the fence chasing a hare. A bridge collapsed a heartbeat after he reached the far bank. Bandits slaughtered an entire caravan while he slept beneath a wagon. Every time death came near, it passed him by, and every escape convinced him a little more that fate had chosen him for something great. On the night the Sanctum fell, he stood at the edge of a chasm no one could cross, with soldiers at his back and nothing ahead but the drop. Any sane man would have surrendered. Kai laughed, ran, and jumped — and while he hung in the air above certain death, a card fell from the blood-red sky into his hands: The Fool, a young man smiling as he steps off a cliff, eyes on the sky, blind to the danger. It whispered that he was right, that he was chosen, that he should leap, because whatever the depth, he would always survive. He landed safely on the other side. From then on his luck became impossible, and in an age of war and despair, people began to follow it — first a few, then hundreds, calling him the Chosen One and believing his luck would protect everyone who walked behind him. When the priestess reaches this land, she hears his name everywhere, feels the card trembling close, and sees the blind faith in every face.
