Joo Chiat Car-Free Day 2026 | A Street Transformed

4K HDR. Joo Chiat Road was transformed into a lively pedestrian street for Joo Chiat Car-Free Day 2026, with cars giving way to people, activities and community life. This walkthrough takes you along the car-free stretch of Joo Chiat Road, where the street was filled with fitness and wellness activities, pets, children’s activities, arts and crafts, food, music, games and plenty of people enjoying the afternoon. Among the highlights were yoga and fitness sessions, a boxing ring, dogs and pet activities, children drawing and making crafts on the road, artists sketching faces, food stalls, picket ball, roller blading, outdoor dining and lots of live music. 4K HDR. Held as part of Singapore’s World Car-Free Day 2026 celebrations, Joo Chiat Car-Free Day was the first time the initiative took the car-free experience beyond Singapore’s CBD.
