The Waltz You Saved for Me

Here we are, friends and waltz lovers. Sadly, this is our last post celebrating #juniordaughertyappreciationmonth but of course, we will all continue to celebrate Junior in our own way, all year ‘round. This is the classic song, The Waltz You Saved for Me. Sung by many of the great singers and played by many of the great players, this one had escaped my memory until my student Kenny asked to learn it and brought it back to mind. I needed to remind myself of the melody and lo and behold, there it was, the very first cut on the Junior Daugherty album, Still Waltzin’. What a delightful coincidence! And of course, he played it beautifully and I enjoyed getting to play it again, after so many years. Thank you everyone for your support with these videos and indulging my love of waltzes.
