Coring red cedar bowls

Coring red cedar bowls. The blank is about 14.5”x6”. Doing the small core only took 3:16 but the bigger one took more than twice that. The smaller core also didn’t survive coring snd split along a rotten seam in the wood. No harm done as I was out of the line of fire and wearing my face shield. The coring rig is the standard Bowl Saver by ‪@woodcuttoolsnz‬ . It’s a good piece of kit and works well when setup correctly. There was a learning curve for me with it for me but I like it.
