Inside Tetmet: The robots building lattice structures that cut energy and materials usage by up to 60%. Tom Vroemen is the CEO and co-founder at Tetmet, the Paris-based startup rethinking how structural components for vehicles, aircraft, and buildings are designed and manufactured. Founded in 2023, Tetmet has developed a patented technology called the Adaptive Spatial Lattice Manufacturing (ASLM) that combines software design with a low-CapEx and zero-tooling robotic process to build lattice structures. In the process, Tetmet is cutting structural mass by up to 60% versus conventional methods. The company has raised from Climate Club, MGF Invest, ID4, Supercapital, Materials Ventures, and more, and they now partner with major OEMs including Safran, Ariane, and Stellantis. In this episode, part of a new series of startup visits, we go inside Tetmet's Paris lab to see ASLM in action. We cover what a lattice structure actually is, how a simple six-axis robot assembles rods in 3D to build virtually any topology, how customer inputs are turned into mechanically sound, buildable parts, the R&D testing behind connection and structural validation, real-world applications from cars to nuclear waste containers, and why Climate Club invested in the bet that lighter, more efficient structures are greener, cheaper, and better. We also put a stainless-steel mini Eiffel Tower to the test and a small bridge of 100 grams holding 200 kilograms. *** Links: Tom Vroemen:   / tomvroemen   Hugo Rauch:   / hugorauch   Our fund: https://www.climateclub.cc/ Our newsletter: https://newwavenewsletter.substack.com/ Our podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/2GYJiYD... // https://podcasts.apple.com/fr/podcast... *** TIMESTAMPS 00:00 Introduction 01:00 Inside Tetmet 02:08 Robots Building Trusses 03:03 Software To Factory Flow 04:31 R&D Testing And Validation 05:28 Eiffel Tower Demo 07:11 Climate And Cost Impact 08:43 Final Takeaways Outro
