How Do You Bring Back Wario Land?

We've seen a lot of video game series rise and fall over the years. Some slowly wither away, others flame out in a disaster of a bad release, and others still just kind of...disappear. No matter the cause, though, it always leads to fans waiting and hoping the franchise will one day get revived. Case in point: Who remembers Wario Land? The fat, greedy antithesis of Mario used to have his own series of platformers all about getting his grubby hands on treasure and other valuables! But it's been a whole 18 years since the last time he did that, and while the Wario Ware games are fun in their own right, it just isn't the same. But...what if Wario Land did come back? How could the hypothetical game devs pick up where the series left off, modernize the gameplay, and bring Wario's brand of offbeat exploration-platforming back in dramatic fashion?
