Install the repository RPM package -- yum localinstall mysql80-community-release-el8-1.noarch.rpm 3. Disabled the MySQL module -- yum module disable mysql 4. Installing the MySQL-Community-server package -- yum install mysql-community-server 5. verify the installation -- yum list installed | grep -i mysql 6. start the MySQL service -- service mysqld start
