Built around expansive electric guitars, hypnotic rhythms, atmospheric analog textures and an androgynous, haunting voice, the album follows a journey far beyond the surface of the self. Across five songs, Cosmic Soul travels from the question of identity into the deeper territory of consciousness. What begins with the realization that we may have been shaped by forces we never chose becomes a cosmic journey into memory, ego and free will. The further the journey goes, the less certain the meaning of “self” becomes. The album moves through childhood memories, forgotten versions of the self, the strange sensation of being a passenger inside your own mind, and finally the possibility of letting go of the person you spent your entire life trying to become. There is no simple answer waiting at the end. Only the realization that perhaps we were never meant to find a final version of ourselves.
