2016 Chrysler 200 UNBOXING Review - Is Discontinuing It A Mistake?

For our latest unboxing review we got our hands on the 2016 Chrysler 200S, a car that will soon be discontinued. But didn't this car just go on sale? Yes, only a few short years ago. So why will 2017 likely be its last model year? Because, in a word, crossovers. The 200, despite looking great inside and out, has a few faults. Specifically, its rear seat isn't big enough for the mid-size family sedan segment. But what we really liked about it is its optional engine, a 3.6-liter V6 with 295 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. In fact, this is the very same engine found in the base Dodge Challenger and Charger. Our 200 was also nicely equipped with a bunch of optional features like an 8.4-inch touchscreen, 9 Alpine speakers, and 19-inch wheels. Still, none of that has done enough to increase sales in a segment that's already suffering because of crossovers.
