I own 20 Hobonichi covers… and I’m keeping 5. After nine years of using Hobonichi, I recently shared why I’m not planning to order a Hobonichi planner for 2027. That left me with one obvious question: What am I going to do with all these covers? In this video I’m going through my A6 and A5 Hobonichi cover collection — fabric covers, leather covers, artist collaborations, discontinued pieces and more — and deciding what stays and what I’m finally ready to let go. I’m not getting rid of everything simply because my planning system is changing. Many A5 and A6 covers can work beautifully with planners and notebooks from other brands. But I also don’t need 20 versions of essentially the same job. My questions are simple: Would I buy this again today? Do I actually use it? Does it have a real place in the planning life I’m building now?
