The Galaxy Refused Their Plea—So 8 Deathworlder Ships HUNTED 340 Warships | Sci-Fi Reddit | HFY

In this HFY deathworlder story, a world of floating cities begs the galaxy for aid, and every power turns away except eight small ships from Earth. The Quellan have six days before a fleet of 340 Ectori warships starts cutting their reefs out of the sky, and the only help that answers is a quiet Commodore who has no intention of fighting the battle his enemy expects. What he does instead leaves an empire that has never lost a war watching a sky it cannot touch. It is a first contact story about why humans are called deathworlders, and about aliens who learn to be afraid of the animal that does not stop. #HFY #HFYStories #Deathworlder #FirstContact #SpaceWar #SciFi
