August 1 2011 - Salt Lake City International Airplane Spotting

Today I had to drive to Salt Lake City from Idaho to pick up my nephew cause he was flying in from Long Beach,CA from a vacation. I had about 30 minutes to spare so I parked and filmed some planes taking off and landing. Hopefully my hand wasn't too shaky. I was really surprised with the amount of airplane traffic. They were constantly taking off for a good 30 minutes one after another. Then before i knew it the strip turned into a landing strip and all the takeoff's took place at the strip on the other side of the airport. I actually had a Police Officer stop and tell me that the Pilots don't like people to park for too long where I was parked. I obliged and moved to the Park and Wait area. That is where you see the brief timelapse. It was a fun day. I went to Joes Crab Shack for dinner in Sandy,Utah and had a full lobster and some snow crab. It was a great time.
