Making tapa cloth and Fiji Fans in Vusaratu Village

Traditional craft practices provide important income for Fijian women. In this video, local experts from Vusaratu Village, Fiji, Vasenai Sivo and Asenaca Dikoila describe how they make tapa cloth and pandanas fans for the tourist market. Working on a veranda, with children and chickens gathered around them, the women show and describe the processes for preparing tapa cloth and Fijian fans using locally grown and sustainable plants.
