Fly Fishing for Carp and Coarse Fish - Haughton Grange - 14/03/2025

In this video I will hopefully demonstrate that not just Trout and other Salmonids can be successfully targeted using Fly Fishing Tackle. Despite my filming equipment being limited in its ability to produce top notch footage, and it being my first attempt at filming myself fishing in a serious way, there is still plenty of action to behold, with several large Carp caught to just under 10lb in weight. Despite the weather not being the ideal conditions for surface fishing, with experience I have found that given enough time, the fish will indeed feed. And feed they did! Carp Fishing with Fly Fishing Tackle is gaining in popularity in the UK, however it is still rare, and possibly a little strange to see it being done. I'm hoping with this movie documenting my session and also demonstrating how to do it, other Anglers may be encouraged to try it. Filled with tips and watercraft with the addition of some explosive surface action, I'm sure it will be enjoyed. Just try to ignore the annoying Collie Dog....
