Workshop: Portuguese Trad Dance Night

Portuguese Traditional Dances workshop organised by the 2021 Portuguese Semester. We travel to Portugal through dance. Each dance represents a different region in Portugal: 1. “Saia da Carolina” - Region of Trás-os-Montes (5:18) 2. “Sariquité” - Region of Ribatejo (23:10) 3. “Toma Lá Dá Cá” - Region of Beira Litoral / Estremadura (41:45) 4. “Malhão” - Region of Minho (56:40) EXTRA: "Pingacho" - Region of Trás-os-Montes (1:11:38) Tradballs reimagined these Portuguese traditional dances in a way that we can all enjoy in the comfort of our homes. We learn online, each of us in our own space, and then will be ready to dance together once the situation improves. About Tradballs Tradballs is a cultural cooperative dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of traditional arts and culture.
