spend a busy tuesday with me as a tattoo artist in soho | InkbyIvyX

12 hour work day starting at 6am, completed 5 tattoos for my lovely clients. my morning client, Cailin, and i were trying to coordinate a time but our schedules didn't work out. i jokingly said "let's do the tattoos at 6am" and she was so cool to agree! i work at Unscripted Ink, inside Untitled Hotel. along the tattoo shop, there's a cafe and rooftop bar. definitely not biased but i believe it's the coolest hotel ever. you have to walk through Freeman Alley, a free-for-all graffiti heaven in soho/lower east side nyc. work is so fun i stopped considering it "working." got me feeling like Zach & Cody. my second client, Cody, was a surprise appointment. he had dmed me saying he found my account on instagram (my best form of contact @inkbyivyx) and wanted to get a horse tattoo for year of the horse (IT'S OUR YEAR). i said word, pull up and i squeezed him in before my returning client, Cristina. Cristina was looking to coverup this music note and heart tattoo on her wrist she got years ago. this was a tricky coverup design ngl. i am so happy with how the design covered up the old tattoo!! doing what you love for work is genuinely so fulfilling and i always tell people "everyday feels like a friday." as an entrepreneur (!!!!), no days off. everyday is work + play. honestly wouldn't have it any other way :)
