What Is Oregon's Path To The CFP? + How The Ducks Beat Ohio State

Nate Bishop, Scoop Duck, Oregon Football, Dan Lanning, Dylan Raiola, Ohio State Football, UCLA Football, and USC Football are the focus of this episode as I talk with Nate Bishop about Oregon’s path to the College Football Playoff and its showdown with Ohio State. Oregon is 5-3 overall and 3-2 in the Big Ten, and it debuted at No. 23 in the first College Football Playoff rankings. The Ducks are coming off a 34-26 comeback win over Northwestern in which Raiola threw for 336 yards and three touchdowns. Ohio State is 6-2 and No. 12 after a 30-18 loss to USC. We discuss what Oregon’s path to the playoff looks like and why the Ducks want UCLA and USC, their former Pac-12 rivals, to succeed. UCLA is 8-0 and ranked No. 8, and USC is 7-2 and ranked No. 20. We talk about how other chaos in college football could maximize Oregon’s chances of making the field. I also ask Nate for a preview of Oregon’s battle with Ohio State on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS, where Ohio State is currently about a 7.5-point home favorite. We discuss the health at running back, what Oregon needs from Raiola, why the defense should handle Ohio State’s offense, and what a win over the Buckeyes would do for Oregon’s season. I tell you whether Nate and I agree. College Football with Sam's goal is to give you joy and mold you into the most educated fan.
