Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ — the mantra of compassion. ❤️ This chanting of Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ was recorded at our Sound Samadhi Kirtan & Sound Healing gathering in Sydney in August 2026. We offered this chant as a prayer of compassion, love and healing for all those affected by the devastating flash floods in China, Tibet and Nepal, and for all beings experiencing suffering. We also turned the compassion inward — allowing ourselves to meet whatever is present within us. To allow our thoughts and feelings to come and go. To embrace both the shadow and the light. To soften resistance and learn to accept ourselves exactly as we are. Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ is the six-syllable mantra associated with Avalokiteśvara (Chenrezig), the Bodhisattva of Compassion. It is traditionally practised as an invocation of compassion and the awakening of a compassionate heart. May this chanting bring peace, strength and compassion to those affected by suffering.
