Nobody expected a bonus video to come with the release of Angel Island Zone, But "What If" It Was Remastered?" Well, I got ya with a remix of Brainiac Maniac from Plants Vs. Zombies! Plus, uploading something PvZ-related feels fitting with the timing, since it's October now and spooky season has arrived. This video is also a tribute to the original game I grew up with during my childhood, as I consider it one of the best tower defense games out there, right up there with Bloons Tower Defense. I was obsessed with the "Zombies on Your Lawn" music video back in the day when I was little. Heck, if you want to use this cover for a PvZ mod, go for it; I'd love to see it used in a mod. In a way, this video is also another "what if" scenario: what if the final minigame in the original Plants vs. Zombies, Dr. Zomboss's Revenge, had been more unique, rather than just a lower-health rematch against Dr. Zomboss? I wish Replanted could've done something like this, rather than being a lazy AI-upscaled mess, because PopCap refused to bring back the original team for the remake; even Rich Werner, the artist behind the original, wanted to be a part of the remake and called PopCap out on Twitter for it. It's a shame what Replanted became, but there will always be fans who do a better job than PopCap at handling the franchise nowadays, so in the end, the fans get the last laugh on PopCap and EA's greed. In my opinion, Plants Vs. Zombies Replanted is one of the worst remakes I've ever seen of the original, despite some good changes, like the addition of new content that's okay for the most part, and a fast-forward button. ★★[Credits & More]★★ Original track composed and arranged by Laura Shigihara.
