Change of Guards (Oct 2026) - On The Quarter Deck March - Istana, Singapore 🇸🇬 [4K]

Come join me at the Oct 2026 Changing of Guard Ceremony at the Istana! During this month’s ceremony, we see the first implementation of live commentary about the ceremony process. The change ceremony is typically conducted on the first Sunday of every month, in the evening. The Guards are selected from the Military Police and performs sentry duty at the palace on a monthly rotation. Every ceremony is accompanied by the SAF Band and the Silent Precision Drill Squad. The format of the Ceremony is based on the British Changing of Guards Ceremony at Buckingham Palace. The New Guards will march on Orchard Road to meet the Old Guards at the main entrance of the Istana. A symbolic parade of handing over duties is then carried out. Many thanks to the Military Police for allowing me to get good angles of the ceremony!
