The church in Orlando: the Lord’s table

“For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you declare the Lord’s death until He comes.” - 1 Corinthians 11:26 What is the Lord’s table? Much more than an outward ritual, the Lord’s table was established by Jesus Himself in the Gospels, with a direct instruction to His disciples and believers today: “do this in remembrance of Me” (Matthew 26:26-30, Mark 14:22-26, Luke 22:14-20). The church in Orlando partakes of the Lord’s table every Sunday. In accordance with the Lord’s own words, the table meeting focuses on the Lord’s wonderful Person, His efficacious work of salvation, and His second coming. In this video, several believers from the church in Orlando share about what the Lord’s table means to them – its Scriptural significance, their personal appreciation of the bread and cup, and the enjoyment of remembering the Lord with fellow believers. As one brother puts it: “It's a great opportunity to be in the Lord's table. Actually, this is the most important meeting on Earth.” Chapters: 0:00 What the Bible says about the Lord's table 1:19 Why the table matters: Mike 2:51 Why the table matters: Carmen 3:01 Why the table matters: George 4:14 What a first-time visitor should expect 5:30 The bread and the cup: Mike 6:56 The bread and the cup: Carmen 7:19 The bread and the cup: George New to this channel?
