Learn to knit the Hearts Lace Knit stitch. In this video I will walk you through how to knit this very easy, lace knit stitch that creates a heart motif using eyelets. It involves quite a few rows, but is very easy to knit. I think newer knitters could learn to knit this too, if you have the basic knit and purl stitches down then a beginner could knit this too. All the slightly more advanced techniques are explained and shown in this video. Written Instructions (Worked flat) Row 1 (RS): *K5, K2TOG, YO, K6; repeat from * to the end. Row 2 and all other WS rows: Purl across. Row 3 (RS): *K5, YO, s2kp2, YO, K5; repeat from * to the end. Row 5 (RS): *K4, YO, K2TOG, K1, SSK, YO, K4; repeat from * to the end. Row 7 (RS): *K3, YO, K2TOG, K3, SSK, YO, K3; repeat from * to the end. Row 9 (RS): *K2, YO, K2TOG, K5, SSK, YO, K2; repeat from * to the end. Row 11 (RS): *K1, YO, K2TOG, K7, SSK, YO, K1; repeat from * to the end. Row 13 (RS): *SSK, YO, K3, YO, s2kp2, YO, K3, YO, K2TOG; repeat from * to the end. Row 15 (RS): *K1, SSK, YO, K1, YO, K2TOG, K1, SSK, YO, K1, YO, K2TOG, K1; repeat from * to the end. Written Instructions (Worked in the round) All the odd numbered rows are the same, but the even numbered rows would be Knit around (instead of purling).
