I Tried to Beat Max Verstappen's GT4 Lap Time! 🏁 | Nürburgring ACC

🏁 CAN I BEAT MAX VERSTAPPEN'S GT4 LAP TIME?! Max Verstappen, the Nürburgring Nordschleife and a Porsche GT4... That's quite a combination! After Max Verstappen recorded a 9:01.410 lap in a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport during the Nürburgring NLS weekend, I got curious. How close could I get in Assetto Corsa Competizione? Same legendary circuit, but two very different worlds: real motorsport and sim racing! 🏎️ THE LAP TIME CHALLENGE 🇳🇱 Max Verstappen — 9:01.410 (Real Porsche GT4 / NLS) 🎮 My lap — 8:57.561 (Porsche Cayman GT4 / ACC) ⏱️ Difference: 3.849 seconds! Now, before anyone gets too excited, I'm definitely not claiming to be faster than Max Verstappen! 😂 He was racing a real Porsche with different specifications and conditions. I'm simply having some fun comparing lap times. 🍺 HOW IT ALL STARTED... It was already getting pretty late, and I was messing around with my Porsche GT4 setup while chatting with ChatGPT about suspension, wheel alignment and handling. A few beers and some weed later, I suddenly thought... "Hang on... what if I compare my lap time with Max Verstappen's?" 😂 So instead of calling it a night, I decided to give the Nordschleife another go. No professional preparation, no perfect setup. Just a spontaneous late-night sim racing challenge! ⚙️ THE PORSCHE & SETUP 🎮 Game: Assetto Corsa Competizione 🏎️ Car: Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport 🏁 Track: Nürburgring Nordschleife – Endurance Cup 🎮 Steering wheel & pedals 🔧 Setup: Work in progress! The Porsche feels fairly neutral through the corners, but the suspension and wheel alignment still need improvement. Especially over the bumps and at high speed, the front end becomes unsettled, bouncing and moving from side to side. This makes it harder to maintain a smooth racing line and carry maximum speed. With better suspension tuning and alignment, I believe there's still more time to find! And that's what makes this interesting: 8:57.561 might not be the limit yet! 🏁 Of course, this is a fun comparison between a simulator and real motorsport, not a direct competition under identical conditions.
