From the shelves of DJs to the personal treasures of passionate vinyl collectors, Sofa Sessions brings you eclectic but carefully curated vinyl selections, rare records, and stories behind the music. Settle into Kaņepes' homey atmosphere and explore the sounds, records, and personal collections of DJs and vinyl lovers from Riga and beyond. The third participant of this episode is Bogan Taran. Bogdan Taran has been a DJ since the mid-90s, growing from Riga’s early underground clubs like Metro, Depo, and Dizzi into major stages such as Sensation White and Love Parade. His journey reflects the evolution of electronic music in Latvia itself — from small, formative dancefloors to international-scale events. Today, he remains deeply active in the scene through Amber Muse with Max Lomov, but the Sofa Sessions format brings him back to something more intimate — a vinyl-focused, narrative-driven approach where flow, selection, and atmosphere take priority over everything else.
