November 24, 1971. A man in a dark suit and clip-on tie boards Northwest Orient Flight 305 in Portland under the name Dan Cooper. Somewhere over the Cascade foothills of southwest Washington, he hands a flight attendant a note claiming he has a bomb, demands two hundred thousand dollars and four parachutes, and jumps out of the back of a Boeing 727 into a freezing rainstorm. He was never seen again. This is the full 12-minute documentary story of the only unsolved skyjacking in American history: the hijacking, the ransom, the jump, the 45-year FBI investigation code-named NORJAK, the 1980 discovery of $5,880 in decayed twenty-dollar bills on a sandbank of the Columbia River, the titanium particles found on his clip-on tie, and the suspects that came closest to being him: Kenneth Christiansen, Robert Rackstraw, and LD Cooper. Every fact stays inside what investigators actually documented. No speculation dressed as certainty. No mockery of the crew who lived through it.
