Mountains, Mechanicals & Baths on Trail | Sydney to Summit Ep. 2

In Episode 2, we rewind to where the idea first began before returning to the trail and dealing with our first major setback, a broken crank. Thankfully, fellow bikepacker Gary comes to the rescue in Berry, helping us get back on the road and continue the adventure. From there, it's time to tackle Berry Mountain before dropping into Kangaroo Valley for a much-needed recharge, both figuratively and literally. After regrouping, we take on Mount Scanzi, roll through Nowra, and begin entering a far more remote phase of the journey. Then comes the climb out of Yalwal. It's a climb we had all been quietly dreading since planning the route, but the sense of achievement at the top make every pedal stroke worthwhile. Of course, no bikepacking trip would be complete without a trail bath. A refreshing swim in Danjera Dam helps wash away the dust, reset the mind, and remind us that sometimes the best moments happen when you stop riding for a while.
