Join me aboard the Viking 50 Traveler as we make the journey up the East Coast, delivering her from Wilmington, North Carolina, to Southold, New York. Our route takes us along the Intracoastal Waterway before passing through the impressive Norfolk Naval Base. From there, we head offshore and work our way up the coasts of Virginia, Maryland, and New Jersey, eventually entering New York Harbor and making the final run around Orient Point to our home waters in Southold. Like every successful delivery, this trip was carefully planned around a favorable weather window. Along the way, we encountered just one minor mechanical issue—a sensor fault that was quickly diagnosed and resolved—allowing us to continue without significant delay. From scenic waterways and busy shipping channels to open-ocean cruising and iconic East Coast landmarks, this delivery was a memorable ride from start to finish.
