This is a long run and battery power became an issue. As we approached the roundabout by Bedford bus station the camera thought I had 5 minutes left but the battery thought otherwise and died with about 100 yards to go; so, we have lost the last few seconds. If you want to dip into parts of the run timings are leaving Bicester at 24.14, Buckingham at 51.23, Milton Keynes Central station at 1.09.21 and Coachway at1.23.18. If you want to cut the dreary same-ness of MK altogether (and I don't blame you!), cut from1.07.10 to 1.23.18. From Oxford bus station we head North up the Woodstock Road and make for the A34 for a fast run up to Bicester. I have marked most of the roads after that as there would be so many to list. As I wanted to film both ways, this had to be done on a cloudy day since I would otherwise be filming directly into the sun for most of the return ( A driver who boarded as a passenger at Bicester Village stop said he can dread morning runs to Cambridge and afternoon to Oxford. By the way, I have great respect for our drivers who show supreme patience and courtesy and put buses through gaps where I would hesitate to put my car). What I had not reckoned on and was not forecast was mist after Bicester heavy enough to be like a shower on the screen. A further problem was that the minimal heat from the camera actually caused the inside of the screen to mist up. These two effects do mar the clarity of the picture at times. I like to play long runs at double speed; try it. For any who remember that delightful BBC series "Lark Rise to Candleford" Buckingham = Candleford.
