Theriai Hekaru ( Cleanse ye the Sanctuary)

As end approaches, the Lords' flock is found in mire and sinking sand. He has looked for holiness but found corruption. Long has he pleaded for cleasing of ways. The song envisage the ancient ones pleading with the Lord to spare his flock, and they call for the total turning of ways. Its a fearful thought that Israel would refuse the call and thus be hardened in ways of evil. The prayer is to awaken the spirit of reform and repentance and to admire holiness that will arise in a renewed Israel.
