DO YOU HAVE A MENTOR? CAN YOU BE RECOMMENDED?

YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE YOUR OWN MESS! In Genesis 46, Joseph prepared his brothers to meet Pharaoh, the King. Joseph had walked that path before. He understood what the King would likely ask, so he prepared his brothers ahead of time. He didn’t allow them to simply “do their thing.” His counsel prepared them, protected them from embarrassment, and helped them give the right answers before the King. Elijah mentored Elisha. Moses mentored Joshua. Paul mentored Timothy. Sometimes, the difference between being unprepared and prepared is having someone who has walked the path before you. So, ask yourself: Do you have a mentor? Are you teachable? Can you be recommended? May the Holy Spirit connect you with the right mentors and teachers for your journey. And may He also make you a person others can confidently recommend. May your character, competence, wisdom and excellence speak for you in rooms you have not yet entered.
