GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DIFFERENT TEST OF SINGLE WAGON TEST RIG:
TEST 1: CHARGING:
Test Rig will charge Brake Pipe (BP) up to 5.0 ± 0.1 kg/cm², Feed Pipe (FP) up to 6.0 ± 0.1 kg/cm² (for TWIN PIPE
WAGON) . It will charge the Auxiliary Reservoir (AR) up to 5.0 ± 0.1 kg/cm² (for SINGLE PIPE WAGON) or up to
6.0 ± 0.1 kg/cm² (for TWIN PIPE WAGON) , Control Reservoir (CR) upto 5.0 ± 0.1 kg/cm² also . At the end of the
Test BP and FP Pressure are also captured.
TEST 2: LEAKAGE TEST:
Test Rig will automa2cally test and record the rate of leakage of the BP and FP for 60 second. Permi3ed Range for
BP & FP is less than 0.2 kg/cm².
TEST 3: FULL BRAKE APPLICATION TEST:
Test Rig will automa2cally exhaust the BP pressure from 5.0 kg/cm² to 3.4 kg/cm². Brakes will Applied.
Permi3ed Brake Applica2on Time will be less than 18-30 Sec. BC pressure for Conven2onal Type Wagon in
Empty and Load Condi2on will be 3.8± 0.1 kg/cm² and For Other Type Wagon in Empty BC will be 2.2 ± 0.1
kg/cm² and Load Condi2on BC will be 3.8± 0.1 kg/cm². During the Test The BC pressure at Empty Condi2on and
Load Condi2on, Applica2on Time will be captured by the Test Rig.
TEST 4: RELEASE FULL BRAKE TEST:
Test Rig will automa2cally charge the BP upto 5.0 ± 0.1 kg/cm². Brakes will be released. Permi3ed Brake Release
Time will be less than 45-60 Sec. BC pressure will be 0.0 kg/cm². Release Time will be captured by the Test Rig.
TEST 5: EMERGENCY APPLICATION TEST:
Test Rig will automa2cally exhaust the BP pressure from 5.0 kg/cm² to 0 kg/cm². Brakes will Applied. Permi3ed
Brake Applica2on Time will be less than 18-30 Sec. BC pressure for Conven2onal Type Wagon in Empty and
Load Condi2on will be 3.8± 0.1 kg/cm² and For Other Type Wagon in Empty BC will be 2.2 ± 0.1 kg/cm² and
Load Condi2on BC will be 3.8± 0.1 kg/cm². During the Test The BC pressure at Empty Condi2on and Load
Condi2on, Applica2on Time will be captured by the Test Rig.
