Every small step built upon the last, and I learned how important it is to design features in a way that makes adding future features easier. This "building to build" mindset was a game-changer for me. Along the way, I discovered some powerful tools: DOTween → made animations so much smoother and easier than manually coding them. ChatGPT → an amazing rubber-ducking tool that helped me brainstorm design strategies, implementation details, and even art generation. In this video, I reflect on the lessons I learned, show you where the project is at, and talk about why it’s okay to step away from a project when the time is right. I’ll also make a build available soon on itch.io so you can try it out! If you’re starting your own game dev journey, my biggest advice: don’t be afraid of failure, don’t sink too much time into a single project, and remember to take care of your body. Exercise really does reset your mind and helps creativity flow. 💪 Stick around for the next video where I’ll do a playthrough of the finished game! 👉 If you enjoyed this devlog, don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe—it really helps me keep going on this journey. #unity3d #gamedev #indiegamedev #devlog #DOTween #unitytips #gamedevelopment #sologamedev #indiedev #gamedesign #unity3d #indiegame #programming #coding #solodev #devjourney #GameDevMotivation #learngamedev #FinishYourGame #itchio #gamedevcommunity
