E. R. Eddison's The Worm Ouroboros

Hello Folks! I hope your day is going well! Let’s turn to the first epic, heroic fantasy novel, 1926’s The Worm Ouroboros by E. R. Eddison. Cited as one of the most influential fantasy novels of all time, this classic is set on a faraway place as our protagonists of Demonland are brought into conflict from Witchland. In the first chapter, after being decimated in their conflicts against the Ghouls, Witchland sends a missive where they demand Demonland’s fidelity. What will happen? This is a rich, mythological work with a world building, such as talks, poems, political intrigue, battles, and wars. The use of myth deepens the work. Want to check it out?
