Key takeaways: Pronation- rotation of the hand and forearm so that the palm faces backwards or downwards. Turns racket and hand toward balls. Supination- rotation of the forearm and hand so that the palm faces forward or upward also. Reverse of pronation. Supination, while it could increase range of motion, it does not create a stronger serve. Supination uses a lot of wrist in the service motion and makes serving more difficult. Milos Raonic starts his serve in a supinated position, but then sets his wrist back in his trophy position and pronates on his serve. Stick to pronation!
