The 2016–2025 new jack swing sound

The 2016–2025 new jack swing sound is a glossy, high-production revival of the late-80s and early-90s subgenre. Often referred to as "Nu Jack Swing" or "Neo-Jack Swing," this modern iteration cleans up the grittiness of classic 12-bit samplers while maintaining the infectious, aggressive energy of the original groove.
