Galo- The green tribe

The livelihood of Galos are based on agriculture and traditionally they used to practise Jhum cultivation. Their villages are small, dispersed, surrounded by mountains and forests of the Himalayan range and look beautiful. The Galos developed their own irrigation systems by channelling river water into their fields.
