RF Monsoon Chirbatiya Hill Half Marathon: Running to call back the sons of the soil!

Reliance Foundation supported the villagers to organise a Monsoon Hill Half Marathon in Chirbatiya village, Uttarakhand, located strategically on Hindu pilgrimage route to Badrinath, teeming with a latent tourism potential. The aim of the half marathon was to bring the area into focus and position it as a viable tourist destination, so as to enable socio-economic development and create employment opportunities for the villagers, who otherwise have to migrate to different places to earn a livelihood, leaving their families behind. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of men, women and children from all walks of village life, coming together to create a lasting impact by making the run a huge success.
