How do you start building reliable obedience? Proofing Shadow’s Obedience Around Distractions

How do you start building reliable obedience? With clear expectations and communication. 💬🐾 Shadow’s practising familiar commands with treats on frisbees as competing motivators—holding his position, coming when called, and heeling past temptation until released to dig in! I’m also changing the sequence to keep him listening instead of predicting what comes next. A few mistakes, mild corrections, and plenty of rewards along the way. Each setup helps clarify what’s expected, even when something tempting is within reach. 🖤 #CaninePraxis #GermanShepherd #DogTraining #DistractionTraining #DogObedience #BoardAndTrain #OttawaDogs #CornwallDogs #MontrealDogs
