“Begin as if you know nothing.”
Shoshin 初心 — beginner’s mind, is the practice of meeting even the familiar without assumption.
Before dawn, an aging samurai enters an empty dojo and returns to the first exercise he was ever taught. After fifty years of practice, the movement is no longer difficult. The challenge is to approach it again with the attention of a beginner.
This episode moves from darkness and stillness into repetition, concentration, and finally morning light, a quiet progression for studying, reading, writing, deep work, meditation, and focused reflection.
Japanese Zen ambience with shakuhachi, koto, restrained percussion, warm atmospheric textures, and spacious natural reverb.

spills the same light
