Hey guys, Rolando from ReveMoto here. In this video I'm going to show you how to remove and replace the rear bumper end caps on a 2014-2021 Toyota Tundra. We're swapping out the chrome end caps for pre-painted ones, and I'll cover both the driver side and passenger side. Go ahead and let's get started. Is there a safer way? A: Yes. Multiple viewers reported that the plastic tabs can become brittle with age on older trucks. ReveMoto recommends switching to work from underneath (shown later in the video) where you have more access to release the tabs without stressing the plastic. A safer method is to push the tang ears in from below rather than prying from above. Q: I have the plastic OEM end caps (not chrome). Is the removal different? A: The removal steps are the same: remove the corner black trim piece on top, remove the push pins along the bottom, and disconnect the rear sensor if equipped. The painted replacement works for both chrome and plastic originals. Q: Will a ReveMoto end cap go OVER my existing chrome end cap like an overlay? A: No. ReveMoto end caps replace the chrome end cap, they do not overlay it. For an overlay solution, other brands like Ecoological offer paper-thin overlays, but you get a full factory-quality replacement with ReveMoto. Q: I also need to unplug the rear sensor. Is that covered? A: Yes, if equipped. The sensor connector unplugs behind the bumper before full removal.
