I Had No Idea What I Was Going to Paint | Abstract Art Process

*NO. 235 – Just Make Art | Original Abstract Oil & Cold Wax Painting | 12x16* What happens when you walk into the studio with no plan, no sketch, and no idea what you're going to paint? You just make art. For NO. 235 of my ongoing Just Make Art series, I started with a blank 12x16 canvas, some oil paint, cold wax, and a little Public Enemy playing in the background. The soundtrack for this painting session was *Fear of a Black Planet*, an album I listened to frequently in my younger years. It's interesting how music can stay the same while our understanding of it changes as we get older. But this painting wasn't about the music or any particular message. It was about being present and responding to what was happening on the canvas. I began with black paint pen underpainting, followed by sky blue, bold black shapes, and scattered blue textures. The final addition was gold, pulled across the black to reveal layers of color and texture beneath. No predetermined composition. No deeper meaning I was trying to communicate. Just a series of decisions, one leading to the next, until the painting told me it was finished. That's what Just Make Art is about. Showing up regardless of mood, letting go of expectations, and allowing the creative process to take you somewhere unexpected. *Painting Details:* NO. 235 – Just Make Art 12x16 inches Original oil and cold wax painting Colors: Sky Blue, Black, Gold Black paint pen underpainting Abstract / Neo-Expressionist / Contemporary Art 🎨 *BUY THIS ORIGINAL PAINTING ON EBAY:* https://ebay.io/m/Nfqga0 *All Inquiries:* ambaalamps.info@gmail.com *eBay Store:* https://www.ebay.com/str/ambaalamps Follow my journey as I continue creating original abstract paintings, exploring color, texture, and the freedom of making art without a plan. *Just Make Art.* #AbstractPainting #OilAndColdWax #AbstractArt #JustMakeArt #NeoExpressionism
