The road to Virlych has taken another dark turn. As the Old School Three continue their journey toward Renchurch Abbey to rescue the kidnapped Count Lucian Galdana, they encounter a group of Knights of Ozem holding an elderly Varisian fortune teller captive. What appears to be a case of demonic possession quickly reveals itself to be something far more dangerous. An exorcism exposes the truth behind the woman's strange behavior, forcing the party to find a way to destroy the creature possessing her without killing its unwilling host. But once the danger has passed, the fortune teller offers something far more unsettling than answers. A palm reading. At first, her words seem vague and mysterious, speaking of lives, choices, and a journey that seems to stretch far beyond what any normal person should experience. Then, without warning, she screams a single prophecy: “You Will Be Visited By A Dead God.” And then she simply continues the reading as though nothing happened. The Old School Three aren't sure what the prophecy means, but as they continue deeper into Virlych, they may not have to wait long to find out. Because this is only the beginning. With Count Galdana still in the hands of the Cult of the Whispering Way, Renchurch Abbey waiting somewhere ahead, and the terrifying Marrowgarth patrolling the lands in service to the Whispering Tyrant, the party's journey is about to become stranger, darker, and far more prophetic than they could have imagined.
