Mega Man: Dual Override - R-Boss Medley theme in 8-bit (NES)

"Chaos at the Robot Museum! Dr. Wily has taken over and is modifying Robot Masters into dangerous R-variants. Stop them before they are unleashed upon the world!" Here is my 8-bit remake and tribute to the Dual Override R-Boss theme. I’ve been working on this medley for quite some time, and I'm excited to finally share it with you! Ever since I heard the new theme and its many references to classic Mega Man boss battles, I wanted to remake this track, but do it especially with the main goal of preserving the authentic 8-bit NES style and instrumentation from each respective game. I recreated every theme from scratch in Famitracker and blended their classic style with the modern arrangement. I also went the extra mile by adding sections and references to create a more complete version. The R-Boss theme on YouTube that I used as a reference (thanks to Overseer190) has gameplay sounds over it and limited audio quality, so my track is not an exact remake, but it’s also not meant to be. See this as my own interpretation and unique take on the whole concept. I'm actually quite happy with the end result and hope you’ll enjoy this as much as I loved making it. As for the accompanying video, the ideas just kept growing as time went on. Brainstorming about a fitting R-Boss backdrop/story and creating the graphics and animation to match the vibe was just really fun to do. There are a lot of hidden nods in the visuals as well.
