Maheux 8242, Rouyn-Noranda, QC - North Bay, ONT, (Pt. 1, Rouyn-Rollet)

In September 2016, I travelled to Amos, Abitibi-Temiscamingue to visit my dad. This video is the first part of a series that will document my ride from Rouyn-Noranda, Abitibi (QC) to North Bay, Ontario from start to finish. Maheux 9/10 is one of the best kept secrets of Eastern Canada's bus routes. It only runs one round trip a day, south in the morning and north in the afternoon, and passes through some of the most scenic areas north of Toronto. It is also a good route for doing video and pictures, as you get lengthy rest breaks at Saint-Edouard-de-Fabre on the way south and in Lorrainville on the way back north, and this route generally isn't crowded. The most I've seen on it after taking this bus for the last few years was between 8 and 12 people, while the least I've seen was myself and the driver, which happened on this trip once we crossed the border.
