To Follow You, Captive. 🇮🇱 *This song is a love song to Israel.* It speaks of a love that stays through all the ups and downs. Through the challenges, the hardship and the pain, we keep loving her and we keep following her. *"To ache for you, and fall in love again."* For me, this one line holds the whole song. To love a land is not only words. It is the choice to stay faithful to her and to her values, to protect her and to build her, even in the hardest times. To me, this is also Zionism. *This is our homeland, the one and only national home of the Jewish people.* I sang it on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, at Israel's national memorial ceremony for Minister Rehavam "Gandhi" Ze'evi. Standing there, I felt one thing strongly through the whole ceremony: love of the land. 🇮🇱 Hila _______________________________________ Walk through the gate with me.
