Softlocking Batman: Arkham Asylum in Only 9 Minutes

Apparently I played the game too fast? 🤷🤷 But in all seriousness, final time is actually a 9:04 because that’s when the game loaded back in. So for softlock%, it’s basically breaking the game as fast as possible by getting to a point where you cannot further progress into the story. In this case, it’s breaking the trigger for the 2nd phase of the tutorial predator in the Intensive Treatment building. I proved that I softlocked by playing around with that checkpoint in a few ways just to confirm it’s impossible to trigger the next chapter change. There are of course other ways to softlock the game, but this is the current fastest known one. It’s probably worth mentioning that this softlock is also possible on console too. There is no official category for this world record, as I simply did this as a meme run. I did this exclusively on Keyboard & Mouse simply because it’s what I’m best at, but feel free to do this on controller if you wish. Nonetheless, hope you enjoy this meme run! Shoutout to Shiken for the idea for this run! Here is a link to his Arkham Anthology Softlock% run: How Fast Can I Softlock Every Arkham Game?
