Maybe others can relate. I wrote this song and with the lack of talent to properly sing it. I was able to bring it to life with the help of different programs. One day I'd like to find a true vocalist to really see the vision. I hope you enjoy the vision I was able to create with it. [Intro] You're the high I can't let go, the one I can't forget, I know where this road goes... but I still ain't left it yet. [Beat Drops] [Verse 1] If I told you I need you, I'd be lying to myself, Every time I tried to reach you, I was crying out for help. We'd make plans, then you'd vanish, leave me waiting by myself, Then you'd call when you were hurting, put your problems on my shelf. I was there through every late night, fighting voices in your head, Stayed awake and listened closely to the things you never said. I was barely holding on, still gave you everything instead, Trying hard to keep us breathing while a part of me went dead. Call me crazy, but be honest, did you ever feel for me? Or did I fall in love with something that you never meant to be? Those late nights were supposed to free me, now they're haunting me, Cause I fell for the reflection of what I thought that we could be. [Chorus] You're the high before the low, you're the rush before regret, You're the one I can't hold onto, and the one I can't forget. Every time I shut the door, you find a way back in my head, Every time I swear it's over... I relapse again. Knowing if I let you back in, I'll be right back here again. But I can't keep getting high off something killing me instead, So if loving you's an overdose... I'm taking my last breath. [Verse 2] Now you're sitting there with tears, I can see 'em in your eyes, Funny how they finally show when I'm the one saying goodbye. Where was all of that emotion when you left me there alone? I was waiting on a message, you were fine without your phone. Can't break a man much further when he's already hit the floor, I gave you everything I had, you still kept asking me for more. I'm done believing all the lies, all the poison that you fed, You became the silent killer I couldn't get out of my head. Every time I started healing, you'd come pulling at me again, One more message, one more late night, one more chance to let you in. And every time I knew the ending... I still chose to let you in. [Final Chorus] You were the high before the low, you were the rush before regret, You were the one I couldn't hold onto, and the one I can't forget. Every time I shut the door, you found a way back in my head, Every time I swore it's over... I'd relapse again. Knowing if I let you back in, I'd be right back there again. But I won't keep getting high off something killing me instead, And if loving you's an overdose... I've taken my last breath. [Beat Drops Out] But I'm gonna forgive you... Cause I forgive me... for loving you. [Music Fades Out]
